Sooo along with New Horizons, I finally revisited my New Leaf town after not playing for over a year. Overall, it wasn’t as bad as I expected. Nobody left (surprisingly) and there were only two (2) weeds in my town. But my flowers kinda… overtook the whole town so I’ll have to clean that up :’)
Anyways, I felt inspired to draw my Sonas in the Animal Crossing style~

I’m trying out painting + actually making backgrounds using a variety of brushes. This one was made using mostly different watercolor brushes, plus some alcohol marker brushes. I’m planning on making three of these for my Mountaineer Trio, of their respective places. This one is Smokey’s, and as she represents the Great Smoky Mountains, I did her at Clingmans Dome. The view below I kinda made up from my memory of the one time I actually went there like 3 or 4 years back, and tbh I’m not sure if it’s a scene you could actually see from there. >w<“
Second painting, this one’s of Sedona... in Sedona, of course! I was originally going to do a sunset scene at the airport scenic overlook, but decided to do a daytime scene, fake sky and everything! >w< I’ve got one more to do, then I’ll move on to my more usual stuff.
Third and final painting, this one of Layken, who represents the Poconos, at Bushkill Falls. For this one, I referenced a photo I took of the main waterfall and some walkways from my visit in June of 2018~
